Mooer's Noise Killer is a high quality noise gate. Noise gates run at the very end of your signal chain to keep things quiet. When the background threshold is above a certain predefined limit, the gate opens, allowing the full signal of your chain to flow through. Threshold goes from -70dB to +10dB to give you maximum flexibility when gating. More importantly the gate can be defined as Hard or Soft. The soft one is the good one. The Soft setting allows notes to gracefully get turned down as with a volume pedal.
