A clear digital delay should sound transparent, and simply repeat the sound that's being played. This is particularly useful in faster riffed playing where you want your repeats to be clear and give your playing a rhythmic quality from the delay attack. The Mooer Repeater gives you this as the Normal mode default setting. In addition it has a Kill Dry mode which does not play the initial signal, only the repeats which is useful in parallel effects chain situations. Lastly, the Mod mode is a chorused and spacey sounding delay useful for ambient soundscaping and modern rock applications.
