Vintage V4 Tony Butler Signature Bass Guitar ~ Black The Vintage V4MTB ReIssued Series ‘Tony Butler Signature’ bass is modelled on the iconic ’54 bass used by former Big Country bassist Tony Butler on so may of the band’s tracks back in the eighties, contributing to the band’s unique sound and underpinning their unmistakeable roots, folk, rock style, relentless guitar driven energy. Featuring a single period correct Wilkinson Platinum Series WPB Alnico V split coil hum-bucking pickup which delivers authentic, traditional tone and outstanding low -end performance. The Wilkinson four saddle WBBCR bridge, with brass saddles is the perfect tonal match for the WPB pickup, and with individually intonatable saddle bridge delivers tone and accurate tuning with the modern and traditional aesthetics and features. “For any bass player to own a quality instrument from the word go is inspiring,” says Tony. “I quickly decided that the V4MTB would tour with me. To have a signature model made to my live bass spec is an honour!” V4MTB Features: Body: Alder body for improved resonance, tone and ‘correct weight’ comfort, enhanced with correctly radiused contoured body. Neck: One piece fretted Hard Rock Maple neck/fingerboard with super-comfortable profile and 12” radius playing surface for instant comfort, and great feel. Scale Length: 34" / 864mm. Frets: 20 Medium profile frets for speed and accuracy. Neck Inlays: Black dot. Nut: 42mm Graphtech® NuBone® for smooth and friction-free tuning. Bridge: Wilkinson WBBCR four brass saddle fully intonatable bridge provides spot on intonation and authentic tone. Machine heads: Wilkinson WJBL200 ensure smooth and stable tuning. Pickups: Wilkinson WBP Alnico V split coil hum-bucking pickup, a benchmark of clarity and articulation. Controls: Single Volume and tone controls. Headstock: Classic Vintage headstock design for balance and visual appeal.
